Welcome to the "Not so" wild wild west.
Here, you will be thrown into a pleasant location just to face another cowboy. The bullets are no ordinary bullets, these once bounce. With no time limit and just a few bullets, the Mexican standoff begins and only one winner emerges.

The game consists of original characters, guns and bullets, as well as animations. However some other assets are also used.

I am a teacher: Very nice baseline. I would like to see camera movement. Also, I can see your 3d tilemap, it is nice. Maybe use full-scale blocks instead of boxes, it will remove artefacts and spaces.

Also, look into settings in itch.io, so there will be the full-screen button. The game is small.

Looking forward to more finalized work. Good luck.

This could be fun when multiplayer is added, for now I like the ricochet of the bullets it is kind of fun to just run around and shoot, but when the bullets ricochet they never disappear so you end up with huge amount of bullets flying everywhere, maybe have the bullets disappear after couple of collisions. The gravity is probably too low so the jumping is very floaty and there is an issue where you get stuck on the edges of the platforms because of the friction.

Sorry for being late, I somehow missed your game in the e-mail.

I was planning to make it so that there are limited number of bullets, and once they ricochet the player has to catch their own to reload, but that feature was not implemented in this version yet. The jump is something im trying to make it perfect, i think a good jump definitely makes the game much better.

Thank you for the feedback.

It's a very nice effort since most of the stuff looks like it was built from scratch. The ricocheting bullets is a very nice touch and can make gameplay very interesting.

I suppose the game is currently unfinished but it looks promising enough to check it out later on. Some versus or survival mode would go well enough. I'd also fix the no boundary issue.

Thanks for the feedback, Yes it is currently just a base, and i made it so that i can add a lot later on. Ill check and fix the boundary issue. Ive gotten a few responses for a survival mode, i think its a great idea.

I’d be glad to try this in multiplayer. I was also thinking it might be interesting to add a mechanic where there’s only one bullet on the map at a time, spawning at a central location equidistant from both players. Whoever grabs it first gets to shoot, and after the shot ricochets (say, 5 times), the bullet stops and becomes available again for anyone to pick up.

Thats actually a really interesting idea. Maybe if i make the map a tad bit smaller, and make it so that theres also a timer for the player to shoot, its should be a fun chase kinda game.

Thanks for the feedback.

Nice idea, honestly.

But, as for now, I can run off the level and never return. And for some reason I couldn't jump to the second platform due to some collider issues, I guess.

However, if make gravity higher (so we fall faster), adding particles and effects to the shots would be decent. Especially if change the level a bit to include sort of vertical platforms as well. Sound also lacks a lot to me :( Ricocheting is a nice feature, but it seems to be sort of endless—maybe add fade out for it or changing directions randomly?

Do you think to add crouch to the player? Also, I guess the game would benefit from some animations and melee damage, maybe.

As said, hard to rate an empty game now if you don't see it fully developed yet, but I believe that it might be interesting to play with a friend. It gives me vibes of PocketTanks. Maybe you will find it useful as a reference for weapons or level destruction (if you have time) <3

Thanks for the feedback. I am adding crouch, I actually just forgot to make the animation for it lol. I definitely will make it so the jump feels heavier, right now its just a basic jump that has no feel for it, as for the effects, i think without effects no game is good, I was thinking of adding sparks whenever it hits a platform, whereas something else when it hits a player.

Also great reference, Ive played pocketTanks before and its a fun game, ill try to incorporate some of the features that i find fun.

Hi, this game is indeed hard to review :D but looks like a fun two player duel game.

Most of those point were already mentioned, but: Limit how many bullets each player has (or force the players to reload after few shots, giving the other player window for attack). Jumping feels like like the player is in honey.

Also will the players have some HP or will the bullets instakill?

So firstly, yeah players will have HP and an HP bar, instakill would be fine in like a zombie mode where infinite spawns happen i think(but i dont plan on making that yet). Definitely the jump needs to feel better, i was thinking kind of like platformer games where the jump feels heavy.

Thanks for the feedback btw.

With the multiplayer approach in mind I can see potential in this game. Ricocheting bullets is a nice thing, adds some unpredictability. Consider also adding random powerups to speed/slow down bullets. Other my suggestion was related to jumping but you already mentioned it yourself

Thanks for the feedback, i actually plan on more changes, like increasing the speed of each bullet with each bounce a bit, and also enabling the player to catch their own bullet(limiting how many bullets a player has), for the core gameplay at least. Ill take into consideration the power ups as well.

Just a general fyi: The game is incomplete and hard to review as such, but heres a general gist of how it will be by next week. Its supposed to be multiplayer, however i havent implemented the second player completely yet and also it is harder to review this during the playtesting online.

The next steps are to finalize the second player, add in colors and effects to differentiate the bullets and players, maybe even a marker on top of the character, add in sound effects and also clean up the movement so the jump feels heavier.

Thank you.
